Artistic ventures have been a part of my life since childhood.  I have been a dancer and movement educator for forty years and a ceramic artist for twenty years.  I am semi-retired from a creative career as a school-based occupational therapist working with pre-school to high school students with a wide range of special needs.  My creative process is currently focused on watercolor painting.  I enjoy the spontaneous interaction of materials possible with the watercolor process.  Watercolor painting reminds me of the controlled uncertainty of Japanese ceramic Raku firing.  I find the improvisational nature of the watercolor process both inspiring and challenging.
